Driving
Directions from the West:
You will take
I-84 through LaGrande, Oregon. (LaGrande is the last stop for
filling your gas tank and shopping for groceries before arriving.)
Leave the freeway on Exit 285 at North Powder and follow signs
towards Haines, Oregon. One mile prior to Haines turn right on
Cemetery Lane travel six miles straight ahead, west toward the
mountains. The road changes name first to Anthony Lake road then
to Muddy Creek Lane, but go straight until the only option is
a right curve onto Foothill Road.
Careful: Follow
Anthony Lake road only 1/4 mile; the junction with Muddy Creek
Lane may be obscure.
Little Muddy
Creek Lane is 1/4 mile north of the curve to Foothill Road. Turn
left on Little Muddy Creek Lane and go 3/4 mile and you are at
Orville J Chandler Ranch.
Driving
Directions from the East:
You will take
I-84 to Baker City, Oregon. (Baker is the last stop for filling
your gas tank and shopping for groceries before arriving.) Take
the 2nd Baker City Exit 302 and go left on Campbell 2 miles and
turn right on 10th Street. This is also Old Highway 30 and goes
north through Haines. At 1 1/4 mile past Haines turn left on Cemetery
Lane. Travel six miles straight ahead, west toward the mountains.
The road changes name first to Anthony Lake road then to Muddy
Creek Lane, but go straight until the only option is a right curve
onto Foothill Road.
